Chipotle heads to Dulles Landing Mall

Sounds like the deal to bring the fast and casual Mexican restaurant Chipotle to Dulles Landing mall walked through. It will be a standalone building, more or less on the north side of the Walmart store.

Regular readers may recall that in March, The Burn predicted that a Chipotle would be built there based on documents filed with Loudoun County.. It seems that these predictions were true.

The Beatty Companies, which owns Dulles Landing, now has Chipotle listed as a tenant on its website.

There are Chipotles all along the Route 7 and 267 corridors – from Purcellville to Ashburn, Sterling and on State Road 28.

But Highway 50, which runs through southern Loudoun — including areas such as Chantilly, South Riding and Arcola — is a blank spot on Chipotle’s map. This new location will fix that.

As a stand-alone Chipotle being built from the ground up, chances are the location will feature a “Chipotlane” – a quasi-driving lane like the one that just debuted in Loudoun County at the new Chipotle at Leesburg’s Shops at Compass Creek development.

Chipotlane is not a typical drive-thru. You cannot stop by and place an order on the spot. Instead, you place your order through the brand’s app and then go through the Chiptolane to pick it up.
