After years of anticipation, construction has officially begun on Pell City Square. Today, after a first shovelful of ground on September 8, the shopping center is finally under construction.

Located on the site of the former St. Clair County Hospital at the corner of Interstate 20 and Highway 31, the center was made possible through a partnership between:

The City of Pell City announced the grand opening of the US 231 bridge that crosses Interstate 20 as the William C. Ellison Bridge. Ellison, President and CEO of 1-20 Development, has orchestrated many business developments in Pell City. Two include the Bankhead Marketplace and South Park Center shopping malls.
