DC Comics website becomes “DC”
Warner Bros. Discovery has discontinued DC “comics” as a new website is launched from the old DCComics.com which redirects to DC.com.
The website sees a revamp that focuses more on the movies as Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam takes center stage (I’ve been told Johnson wants to take over the DC movies) with DC League of Super Pets and the new Netflix Sand seller TV series.
As for the comics, yes, they’re still there, but they’re relegated further down and they have their own subsite at https://www.dc.com/comics. It should be mentioned that Warner Bros. Discovery and CEO David Zaslav also dropped DC Comics and the DC brand last month from the San Diego Comic-Con floor.

Burbank, California – August 3, 2022 – DC today unveiled its fan-focused portal at DC.com, which will give fans easy access to all things DC, from early fan news to DC UNIVERSE INFINITE, DC Shop, DC Community and DC on HBO Max. DC.com’s new homepage will feature weekly releases of new video content, in-depth editorial dives, fan discussions, digital experiences, and more.
“DC.com is a celebration of everything in the DC Multiverse and we couldn’t be more excited for today’s launch,” said Anne DePies, DC GM/SVP. “We’re doubling down on DC’s digital ecosystem and there’s never been a better time to be a DC fan and with this one-stop shop, we’re bringing everything together in one place to easily access and celebrate your fandom.”
DC.com will continue to be the site for the latest news and in-depth dives into the latest DC releases in comics, movies, TV and video games – all in one place! DC.com will expand to include weekly video content ranging from trailers for upcoming releases to throwbacks to some of DC’s defining moments across all mediums, as well as exclusive interviews with talent you can’t find anywhere else. notably :
- DC Super Scenes – Videos highlighting fan-favorite moments and characters from across DC history across all mediums air every Tuesday and Friday.
- Tuesday Quiz – Every Tuesday, the DC Community will host a themed event where all fans are welcome, but even the most loyal DC fan may be puzzled.
- Enigma Wednesday – The DC Community will post a puzzle every Wednesday that members can try to solve alone or in groups.
- DC’s Listery House – Released every Thursday, DC.com will curate a fresh slate of essential moments, characters, and content for fans to explore, add to, and discuss.
- Monthly deep dives on everything happening with your favorite characters, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman across the DC Universe.
- Digital experiencesincluding My DC Origin Story, where fans can take part in an interactive story and discover their place among the super teams of the DC Universe.
DC UNIVERSE INFINITE, DC’s premium digital comics service offering readers access to over 25,000 comics, with more titles arriving for subscribers each week, will celebrate the launch of DC.com with new collections highlighting fan-favorite stories, creators and links. The DC Book Club offers curated selections each month with titles available on DC UNIVERSE INFINITE as free to read for registered users, exclusive downloads, and discussions through DC Community. Fans can prepare for August’s next book club selection, the seminal The Sandman Vol. 1: Preludes and Nocturnes, just in time for the series’ streaming debut on Netflix.
DC’s social accounts are also being refreshed to include the @DC handle on most platforms to coincide with the launch of DC.com. All DC-branded social handles will continue to roll out new content across the multiverse for fans to engage.
Available to all registered DC.com users, the DC Community hub will unveil a new live chat feature so fans can connect in real time. New badges and, coming soon, more styling options and avatars that community members can use to customize their user profiles, including options like Batman Fan, First Post, Top Fan, etc., have also been added to the DC Community site. Registered users can also enter to be featured as Community Member of the Month, highlighting their favorite DC comic book picks. With “Convention Season” in full swing, the DC Community Site will also be the perfect place to show off your artistic abilities in the new cosplay and fanwork gallery.
To celebrate the new website, DC Shop will feature premium collectibles and limited edition items as well as new apparel designs for Harley Quinn, black adamand Shazam! Fury of the gods and accessories, including Batman-themed LED lights, backpacks, books and more. The improved customer experience will make it easier than ever to find products featuring your favorite Super Heroes and Super Villains with dedicated character pages.
Fans can access their DC fandom at www.DC.com starting today with more updates and pages to come. Previously registered users will be able to use their existing credentials to access DC.com. New users are encouraged to register via the REGISTER page on www.DC.com. Signing up unlocks a universe of benefits, including free comics, access to the DC Community, a chance to win a hometown screening of an upcoming DC theatrical release, and more!
