We are looking for Website Editors/Managers for our financial websites with a global retail and investment related audience.
You will need to create in-depth trading-related content pieces and edit existing content to keep it up to date. You must enjoy researching and creating in-depth editorial content, verified guides and reviews.
Responsibilities
- Plan and create well-researched content. Create verified content items, detailed guides, reviews for our websites.
- Locate content, guides, reviews for different countries and regions.
- Update content to our editorial standards.
- Checking facts and updating content.
- Read copy or proof to detect and correct spelling, punctuation, and syntax errors in articles.
- Verify facts, dates and statistics using standard reference sources.
- Develop new content ideas, considering reader or audience appeal.
- Develop a consistent tone and style for all articles and content
- Meet content deadlines according to the content calendar
- Collaborate/coordinate with the SEO manager to plan, create new content.
- WordPress formatting and publishing
- Work with freelance writers to liaise content, provide guidelines or content suggestions
Terms
- Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
- Experienced finance, business news editors can apply.
- At least 2 years of experience as a media editor in finance, online trading and Forex.
- Excellent writing skills in English, especially in relation to communication with the press, financial terms and other business news content.
- Expert-level skill as a proofreader;
- Experience working on digital platforms (websites, mobiles, blogs, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of SEO to create content according to SEO guidelines.
- Ability to maintain focus and detail orientation when processing large amounts of information or copies.
- Ability to collaborate with editors to understand their editorial needs, maximize their impact and ensure they meet our editorial standards.
- Demonstrated ability to distill complex topics into understandable language for a wider audience
- Experience in presenting ideas to different audiences, with the ability to write persuasively to professional or non-professional audiences from diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines.

Salary: ₦150,000 – ₦250,000 per month
