HIGH EARTH, Ind. (WTHI) – Meadows Shopping Center has been providing customers with shopping, dining and services since the 1950s.
Now, with more space available, business owners are happy to bring their businesses here.
New stores will be installed in the old Stein Mart building and in the basement. These new businesses include a gym, a women’s clothing store, Ace Hardware and more.
Many business owners are drawn to the area because of the location and the larger space.
Owner of Intimate Whispers, Roni Elder says she is thrilled to open her new store in Meadows to provide women with comfortable and stylish clothing.
“We’re going to specialize in mostly intimate loungewear. We’ll have swimwear and then just a few mixed things up like sweaters. No matter what we find like that, that would be cute that would sell well,” Elder says.
The store will open this month.
Another company coming to Meadows is DH Phoenix Training.
Phoenix Elite Gym and Dedicated Health Gym have joined forces to create a bigger space with more classes. The gymnasium will feature a boot camp, women’s self-defense classes, yoga, personal training and more.
Co-owner Josh Riggs said customers were excited about the new partnership and the additional course offerings.
“Our facility is just more of a gym. It doesn’t really involve a lot of classes and there isn’t a lot of room for classes, so we think this is going to give us a chance to reach a different population. and make it more comfortable for people who like classroom environments, ”says Riggs.
One of Meadows’ five development partners, Polly Bryan, says local purchases are important.
“I think people kind of come back to small business, so all of these places being small businesses help,” Bryan said.
