Transport for NSW has launched a new ‘one stop shop’ website to help developers planning projects that may interact with roads.
Resources on the web page include road classifications, information about the agency responsible for each type of road, fact sheets, and tips on carrying out road works during a project.
Development Services Manager, Land Use Damien Pfeiffer said having the correct information available could save developers time and money when planning projects.
“The aim of this new online tool is to direct developers to resources that will help them prepare their application before submitting it for approval through the Planning NSW portal,” he said.
“We work with project developers every day and hope the webpage will foster even closer collaboration between developers, councils and Transport for NSW in the early stages to help achieve the best possible results.
“This website is one of the tools transport uses to help these apps move through the assessment process smoothly and efficiently as we seek to keep the economy moving given the Covid-19 related impacts of in recent years and which will continue to evolve.”
In other news, the New South Wales government is committing repair funds for any damage to Culgoora Road following recent increases in heavy vehicle traffic.
